💛💙Ukraine in My Art: Before and After
Ukraine holds a profound place in my heart and my art, both before and after the full-scale invasion. My manifesto is clear: artists, cultural figures, and creative minds cannot afford to remain apolitical or detached from the world’s developments. Global events directly influence culture and art, and during times of war, artistic expression often suffers!

  • full-scale war in my home

In an era of hybrid warfare and rapid information dissemination, we artists have a duty to convey the true significance of the tragedies and crimes perpetrated by dictators and aggressive factions masquerading as legitimate nations. Amidst the barrage of propaganda, we must remain vigilant, discerning the essence of truth and resisting the manipulation of lies spun by those skilled in the art of black propaganda. It is our responsibility to carry light, expose truth, and advocate for freedom, democracy, and the unfettered expression of will.

Before the full-scale invasion, I painted emotions, capturing the beauty and spirit of my homeland. However, once the assault by criminals and terrorists from the neighboring country began, I found myself unable to pick up a brush. The horrors unfolding around me were too overwhelming.

I created my first ART

First Art since our mad neibor start big war in my Motherland

the title “Not a Peaceful Sky”
the work was sold at an exhibition in my hometown in March 22. The full cost was transferred to help the heroic defenders in the Kharkiv direction

Second Art since 24.02.22

bouquet 2022

I created my first ART painting in the kitchen to the wail of air-raid sirens. A few weeks later, when our heroic defenders expelled the ugly army of invaders from the outskirts of the capital, the whole world saw the picture of raped, tortured, brutally murdered women, children, and elderly people – mostly they were victims of the army of invading neighbors. This is their reaction to our unwillingness to be called by their ugly name, to speak their ugly language.
Then something in me broke and grew again. I was able to hold a brush and paint despite all the horror, despair and sadness

Behind each picture is a separate story of ordinary people who suffered and are suffering from disgusting non-humans from the neighboring hellish entity that calls itself a country – a country of lies, regression and thirst for murder and cruelty.

Now, as war rages on, with bombs and rockets raining down on our peaceful cities, killing innocent civilians and distorting reality through media lies about fictitious rights to destroy my homeland, I am compelled to create again. Each stroke of my brush is infused with the thought of what I can do to help hasten the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and Ukraine over its hateful occupiers.

Each piece a testament to my resilience and commitment to capturing the truth of our struggle.

Surprisingly, the reasons for the brutal war seem incomprehensible and unreal to many who are far from reality, infected by russian propaganda and lies about the “cradle of culture and art”. While society helps more or less but from a distance, these criminals have been committing genocide and ecocide in my homeland for the third year.
